From the field to the control room

Software for the people who have to prove what happened.

Mobile apps for work that happens away from a desk. The register behind them. The control-room view above them. Built in South Africa since 2013.

What we build

Three layers of one architecture.

Almost every system we have built has the same spine. Someone is doing something away from a desk, a system has to know about it immediately, and afterwards there has to be a record of what happened and who was responsible.

01

Field & mobile applications

Apps for staff who are standing up, in a hurry, and sometimes in trouble. Installed by opening a link, usable without training, and still working when the signal drops.

02

Control-room dashboards

One screen showing what is happening now, who is on shift, what is waiting on a decision, and what has gone unanswered for too long.

03

Systems of record & audit

A single register instead of fifteen spreadsheets, with an append-only history of every change and a name attached to each one.

Selected work

Systems that are still running.

Rather than a long client list, here is what was actually built and what it does in service.

A control room that dispatches in under ten seconds

A monitoring and dispatch platform with live tracking, shift management, push broadcast and client administration — paired with Android apps that keep tracking a person in distress after the phone is locked or the app is closed, and stop only on the user’s PIN.

A logbook that satisfies SARS on its own

Tax-year opening readings, monthly ranges and the business-versus-private split, captured as trips happen and generated as the report the auditor asks for — instead of a notebook in the glovebox reconstructed in February.

How we work

Nothing gets built before it is written down.

Four stages, in this order, every time. You approve each one before the next begins.

01

Specification

A written Solution Specification setting out what the system must achieve and the constraints it works under. You approve it before any design starts.

02

Quotation

A fixed-scope quotation priced against that specification, with payment staged across sign-off, user testing and go-live.

03

Build

Development against the approved scope, with the database, the application and the reports treated as one deliverable rather than three.

04

Support

A monthly arrangement covering monitoring, releases, hosting liaison, restorable backups and a next-business-day response.

Why clients stay

You will get documents, not just code.

Small suppliers are a risk, and every buyer knows it. The answer is not to pretend to be bigger — it is to leave behind a paper record that outlives whoever wrote the software. Every engagement produces one, and it is yours.

You will deal directly with the engineer who would write it — not an account manager — and you will usually hear back the same day.
